Usui
Reiki
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a laying-on of hands healing
technique thousands of years old. It is thought to have
originated as a Tibetan Buddhist practice that was
rediscovered in the late 1800’s by Dr. Mikao Usui, a
Japanese Buddhist. It is a very simple but very powerful
technique that can easily be learned by anyone.
The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words, Rei and Ki.
Rei is Spiritual Wisdom. Ki is the Life Force. Ki means the
same as Chi in Chinese. Ki is also called the vital life
force or the universal life force. This is the nonphysical
energy that animates all living things. When something is
alive it has life force circulating through it and
surrounding it; when it dies, the life force departs. If
your life force is low, or if there is a restriction in its
flow, you can be more vulnerable to illness. Life force
plays an important part in all that we do. It gives the body
all of the energy needed for the good of our physical,
mental, emotional, and spiritual life.
The Usui Reiki Healing system is a hands-on practice, using
certain hand positions the energy is focused on areas of the
body that enhance healing. Reiki is channeled through the
practitioner’s hands for the treatment of self or others.
Reiki treatments can be done in person or long-distance. The
end result is enhanced well-being in a calm and relaxed
manner. Reiki is a complementary healing alternative that is
used in conjunction with traditional medical treatment.
Reiki is now practiced in hospitals, clinics, spas, and
other treatment areas. Scientific research is ongoing
regarding the use of Reiki and its benefits to the public.
Reiki is only one of the holistic modalities that I use when
treating clients. The treatment is very relaxing and can be
helpful with all kinds of issues. Some prefer to learn the
technique just for self-treatment while others have friends
or family members with chronic pain or diseases that respond
nicely to Reiki treatments.
USUI REIKI TREATMENT
A Usui Reiki Treatment includes a one-two hour healing
session that is determined by the patients needs. A
pre-treatment evaluation is performed as well as a
post-treatment discussion.
Fee for Usui Reiki Treatment: (Local & Long-distance) $90.00
